Little Tikes is recalling 2-in-1 Snug'n Secure pink toddler swings after receiving reports that children were hurt when about 140 seats cracked or broke.
Little Tikes says it is recalling more than 500,000 pink toddler swings because they could break and injure a child.
The model number 615573 and a manufacturing date code stamp are on the back of the seat.
The recalled swings have the molded inner arrow of the date code pointing to either 10, 11, 12, or 13.
No other date codes or other colored swings are affected, the agency said.
The recall affects almost 540,000 swings manufactured between November 2009 and December 2013. Further information can be found at CPSC.gov/recalls or on the Little Tikes recall website. The recall is due to the fact that the plastic seat can crack or break, which is risky and has caused accidents.
In all, 39 children were reportedly hurt.
Anyone with this swing is asked to stop using it immediately and contact Little Tikes for a refund.
If your model meets the recall requirement, contact Little Tikes as soon as possible at 888-284-1903 or visit www.littletikes.com to go through the steps required.
