OJ Simpson 'could enter Celebrity Big Brother' after release from prison

The former National Football League star was the focus of a recent Oscar-winning documentary, OJ: Made In America, and the hugely successful TV adaptation of the notorious nine-month murder trial and acquittal starring John Travolta and David Schwimmer, The People Vs OJ Simpson.

The Daily Star's suggests that Simpson could be heading into the famous house soon, with their front page reading "OJ Simpson in Celeb Big Bro!"

OJ was of course cleared in the criminal courts of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.

Reality TV producers are said to be desperate to sign up the fallen idol once he gets out as it would make "box office telly".

It also starred John Travolta played Robert Shapiro and David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian.

However he is now serving a 33 year prison sentence for an armed robbery in Las Vegas back in 2007.

Having served nine years of his sentence he is liable for patrol and could be released as early as October, according to the MailOnline.

Celebrity Big Brother have reportedly said that the next season will see contestants entering into the house in pairs and if that continues into season 21 the big question is who would OJ Simpson be going in with?

A spokesperson for Channel 5 told Express.co.uk: "We never comment on speculation around future housemates".

While Simpson is now behind bars, Vanity Fair reported this week that OJ could be released from his sentence - which began in 2008 - as soon as October, which means he likely won't be out in time for the next season set to start in July but could potentially appear on the first series of 2018 set to begin in January.
