Officers with the Palo Alto Police Department responded Wednesday at 9:17 p.m.to the 200 block of Alma Street after a woman reported she had just been the victim of a sexual battery. The victim followed the suspect eastbound on Everett Avenue and then southbound on High Street when she lost sight of him.
The victim called police immediately.
She was not physically injured in the incident.
The suspect was between 35 and 40 years old, weighed roughly 190 to 210 pounds, stood between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, and was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt with yellow writing on it. She said he was wearing a green jacket with dark loose-fitting trousers and possibly a beanie.
San Mateo County sheriff's deputies are looking for a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman at a Caltrain station in Palo Alto last week.
She had noticed the man walking behind her since she got off a bus nearby, she told police.
They are working with the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, who are investigating a similar assault with a similarly described suspect that occurred at the Palo Alto Transit Station March 1. He was wearing a green jacket with dark loose-fitting trousers and may have been wearing a beanie.
