Cracker Barrel Fires Brad's Wife After 11 Years, Internet EXPLODES

So far, Cracker Barrel has not released an official statement on why the employee was sacked.

The hashtags #BradsWife, #JusticeForBradsWife, #BradsWifeMatters and others went viral after Bradley Reid Byrd, of Milltown, IN, posted on the restaurant chain's Facebook page earlier this month, "Why did you fire my wife?".

Followers are not able to post on the Cracker Barrel Facebook page, but many are trolling every post the company makes with comments about Brad's wife.

Brad is a man, much like any man, who is married to a hard-working woman named Nanette, and Nanette dedicated 11 years of her life to working at Cracker Barrel. That was not very nice.

Cracker Barrel has yet to respond to the controversy. Calling his wife a good person, Byrd said that it saddened him that his wife was hurt by being fired from Cracker Barrel. Brad maintains that it was the Lebanon corporate office, not local personnel in Corydon, Ind., that fired his wife, so he has requested that all correspondence be directed thusly. "I would really like to know why and those of you who know me these days, know that I WILL find out..." he posted on his own page.

Brad's latest hashtag has become #StillWaiting.

Someone even changed the Cracker Barrel Wikipedia entry to read, "Number of employees: 70,000, minus Brad's wife".

The petition writes, "Brad was a kind and simple man. Thanks to all for the continued support and I will keep you informed..."

If the Cracker Barrel home office knows anything about public relations and social media, they would most likely want to put out a statement ASAP over the firing of Brad's wife, especially as the nation heads into the weekend.
