Apple launches iPhone 7 Red and we love it!

This special edition iPhone RED will be made available for online orders worldwide and in stores as well starting Friday.

Alongside their revamped iPad lineup, Apple also announced today that a slick-looking crimson color variant of the iPhone 7 will make its way to market in support of anti-AIDS charity RED. Apple has previously released other gadgets and accessories under the Product (Red) line to benefit the cause, most recently including the Beats Solo3 wireless headphones, iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case, and Beats Pill+ portable speaker.

Apples latest collection is innovative yet trendy but the new compilation only offers new look with the same old packaging. And the iPhone 7 Special Edition comes in red to commemorate Apple's work with the Global Fund to fight HIV and AIDS.The news crossed the wires well before Apple is expected to introduce its new iPhone this fall.

In a statement Tuesday, Apple boss Tim Cook addressed the new phone's design and its potential ability to help in the battle against AIDS.

Under (RED)'s agreements with various for-profit companies, the partner company agrees to donate a portion of all proceeds to the Global Fund whenever consumers buy (RED)-designated products.

Apple is the world's largest corporate donor to the Global Fund, having contributed more than 130 million dollars through its partnership with the organization, Red chief Deborah Dugan said.

(RED), a licensed brand, partners with a variety of other private brands such as Nike, Apple, HBO and Electronic Arts.

A new colour has been added to the iPhone 7 lineup. This special edition will be available for the consumers on March 24, Friday.

The same iPhone 7 models that came onto the market a year ago, the only difference is the red iPhone's hue. The limited edition will be available for 128GB and 256GB models and will sell for about US$749.
