With Beyoncé having to drop out of her headlining Coachella slot due to her pregnancy, Lady Gaga has not taken the new opportunity for granted. Attendees must be 18 years old or older. When the Superbowl rolled around, she delivered the performance and then immediately after announced a massive tour schedule.

The 31-year-old Grammy award victor surprised fans by debuting her new single The Cure.

A series of swift costume changes followed including a studded leather jacket and military-style cap, and channeling Madonna in a pointed bustier as she performed a medley of her greatest hits in an electrifying set incorporating video footage and dance sequences.

"I remember when I released this album, it caused so much trouble", she told the crowd of Born This Way.

After the first two tracks, she asked the crowd how they were doing after a day of drinking, and said people had been asking her if she was anxious about going on at 11:30. "Which I loved because I love causing trouble".

Midway through her 18-song set, the six-time Grammy victor played the new single for the first time, sending her fans into wild excitement, reported Us weekly.

Job done, Lady Gaga pulled on a swimsuit, and set about making the most of her luxury villa.

Unlike Radiohead's headline set on Friday, Gaga had no technical difficulties.

Gaga used the event to unveil a new single, "The Cure", which hit the usual digital platforms on Sunday.
