Blind Al became a fan favourite after the 2016 movie, after Leslie's strong chemistry with Ryan Reynolds - who stars as the titular anti-hero - lent itself to some humorous scenes between the pair.
When asked by BlackFilm.com if she has a role in the second instalment, Leslie simply replied: "Definitely".
Uggams lent an unexpected level of prestige to last year's Deadpool and her Blind Al became an instant favorite, with her and Reynolds establishing strong chemistry that lent itself to some very amusing bickering. With an Emmy, a Tony Award, and a part on Empire, Uggams shows no sign of stopping at the age of 73 and can certainly show the rest of the Deadpool cast a thing or two. Another character also returns, that of Morena Baccarin aka Vanessa and the actress recently teased her evolution in Deadpool 2. Lucky for us, it looks like Blind Al will also be making an appearance in the upcoming Deadpool 2.
Leslie Uggams has confirmed that she's returning as Deadpool's roommate Blind Al in the Merc with the Mouth's next cinematic solo outing.
Deadpool 2 is expected to commence production this June to meet its unspecified 2018 release date.
