Munusamy said in keeping with AIADMK party practice, a party notification should be issued on Dhinakaran and Sasikala family's expulsion.
The Delhi Police had last night served summons to him in the case. "Nobody respects Thambidurai", he said adding that TTV Dinakaran was evicted because he has many cases against him that is why Sasikala family removed him. "Only you (Palaniswami camp) know the reason, (for sidelining Dhinakaran.) We are getting information that since he (Dhinakaran) was entangled in several cases, in order to free him, Sasikala's family has used them (Palaniswami camp)", he claimed. "If they accept these demands only then there will be talks", he said.
Meanwhile, reports emanating from the OPS camp said that they welcomed the decision to sack TTV and Sasikala from the AIADMK party.
"If approached, we are ready to sit and talk and I have confidence that they [leaders] will come [for talks]", he told reporters at the airport. Such a move will bring the support of 132 MLAs and 49 MPs to the NDA in the coming presidential election and help BJP extend its footprint in Tamil Nadu.
Since Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha passed away late a year ago, the fate of the party she headed has been in a shambles.
"The basic condition is that family members of Sasikala should not be in the party", former AIADMK MP and Panneerselvam confidant K.C. Palaniswamy told IANS. "But if there are elections, Panneerselvam will definitely win", said Muniswamy.
While the efforts for the merger are in full-swing, O Panneerselvam camp toughened their stand demanding Sasikala's resignation and calling for a CBI probe into Jayalalithaa's death. However, KA Sengottaiyan had said earlier that OPS faction didn't raise any question on Dinakaran or Sasikala.
The AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary is already facing the heat as the K. Palaniswami cabinet revolted against him last night and chose to keep him and his family out of the party and the government.
Following her imprisonment, her loyalists elected Edappadi Palaniswami as Chief Minister.
Dhivakaran boasting about the family's association with Jayalalithaa upset Sasikala, according to sources, leading her to choose TTV as party leader in her absence.
The talks for a merger gained ground after an FIR was registered against Dinakaran for bribing the Election Commission officials for staking claim of the "Two Leaves" party symbol.
Thambi Durai later met the chief minister and discussed the developments with him.
