As part of a number of measures to reduce the almost $1.3 million deficit, money for regional libraries was cut by 58 per cent and Saskatoon and Regina libraries saw it's funding scrapped. "It's imperative that we preserve this system, it works well, it's one of the best in Canada".

According to the provincial government, tough decisions had to be made to keep the economy strong.

Replying to a question in the legislature last month, Morgan appeared to suggest there were too many libraries in the province.

The company said if an election were held today, 44 per cent of decided voters would cast a ballot for the Saskatchewan Party.

"We've been talking to people around the province - every corner of the province - and we're hearing from them that they think this government isn't listening to them anymore", said Carla Beck, the NDP's education critic. "If there is a second thought, then I am glad to hear it, but this is something that should have been done before the budget". Party and this year's provincial budget.

Seven per cent of those polled supported the Progressive Conservatives, five per cent for the Saskatchewan Liberals and four per cent for the Green Party.

As the poll was done online, Insightrix said margin of errors are not applicable. Some of the words used most were "disappointed", "necessary", "shocked" and "disgusted".

Another 25 per cent said they are undecided.
