Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro Unveiled in India, Priced at Rs 27990 ($436)

Samsung Electronics is headed for its best quarterly profit margin in three years, despite its deputy chairman going on trial over corruption allegations.

Over at Samsung headquarters meanwhile, the company reported preliminary operating profit of 9.9 trillion won ($8.7 billion) for the first quarter of 2017, a jump of nearly 50% from a year ago.

Samsung, which last week unveiled its new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8, was helped by strong sales of memory chips.

The main thing which everyone must look around is the battery capacity, so if we look at the battery life of both smartphones so the Samsung Galaxy S7 got the long lasting battery of 3000 mAh while the Apple iPhone 7 got the 1960 mAh of battery. Not only are they seeing success in their own Exynos SoC, but continued business from Qualcomm for the upcoming Snapdragon 835 SoC has also added to this increase in profits. Just to remind, the same smartphone was first launched in China in January earlier this year.

Samsung has launched yet another "Pro" device in India, the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro. "It will give a big boost to Samsung's earnings from the second quarter", analyst from IBK Securities, Lee Seung-woo told the Financial Times.

The folks at SamsungVN have obtained alleged images of the refurbished Galaxy Note7 device that has a model number of SM-N935.

Samsung's Q1 earnings previous year, meanwhile, stood at 49.78 trillion won (~$43.90 billion), with a 6.68 trillion won (~$5.89 billion) operating profit. While there might be some expected cause for concern, the new batteries have undoubtedly undergone Samsung's latest gamut of quality tests to ensure safety for its consumers. Lee is accused of funneling more than 38 million dollars to entities controlled by former President Park Geun-hye's confidante Choi Soon-sil in exchange for support for a 2015 merger of two Samsung affiliates that was deemed critical to cementing Lee's succession to the top of Samsung Group.

Lee's arrest, the first for a Samsung chief even though his father was twice convicted of bribery, sent shockwaves through the company and triggered the announcement of a major reform of its top-down management style. He denies any wrongdoing.
