San Francisco Police report they are working with PG&E to address the massive power outage affecting portions of San Francisco Friday morning. It was not known if that was the source of the outage.
One downtown commuter rail station has been shut down.
The Montgomery station is a key stop all BART lines coming into the city.
San Francisco Fire Department and Pacific Gas and Electric crews had responded to a fire at a utility substation and vault facility on 600 Larkin Street, according to CBSSF, but it is unclear if that was cause of the power outages. Cable auto lines were also knocked out of service.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported (http://bit.ly/2pN3o6b ) the outage also affected the Presidio, and KRON-TV reported effects stretched to the Marina/Cow Hollow area. ABC7 News reporter Kate Larsen says firefighters tell her that they're getting called to multiple buildings downtown to rescue people trapped in elevators due to the outage.
