Last night, during the opening of the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, a documentary celebrating the life of music mogul Clive Davis was released. Although the film does not necessarily delve too deeply into Davis' personal life, we do hear from several of his children, and it does touch on Davis' bisexuality, which he spoke about publicly in 2013. Artists, celebrities and music fans packed into Radio City Music Hall to watch the screening of the documentary "Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of Our Lives".

Hudson opened her set with a rendition of "Hallelujah" before unleashing a medley of Houston hits that included "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" and "How Will I Know".

The live concert followed the world premiere of the new Clive Davis documentary, The Soundtrack Of Our Lives, which outlines the music man's incredible career and his relationship with Houston. "I am honored to have been an artist of his and to still be an artist of his", Franklin said from the stage at Radio City Music Hall.

The film tells us that Davis, a Harvard educated lawyer, first forayed into music with a visit to the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, a precursor to Woodstock featuring Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Otis Redding and Janis Joplin. Robert De Niro attends the world premiere of "Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of Our Lives" at Radio City Music Hall, during the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, Wednesday, April 19, 2017, in NY. He lost his parents while he was an undergraduate at New York University, and later attended Harvard Law School.

"I had no inkling that music would be my passion of life", he said in an interview with The Associated Press on Tuesday from his office at the new Sony building in Manhattan.

Davis is the producer behind artists such as Aretha Franklin, Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen, and Alicia Keys.

Whoopi Goldberg emceed the evening, which kicked off with a performance by Barry Manilow. He was the founder and president of Arista Records from 1975 through 2000 before heading RCA Music Group.
