Odell Beckham takes to Twitter after Giants pick up fifth-year option

"The start of a new chapter in my life began this pas (t) week".

After telling his followers to "Stay tuned" and "Stay blessed", Beckham Jr. hinted that he could be going off of the grid of social media for a while.

"Words are only that, so it ('s) time for action", Beckham continued. I'm lettin u kno now, this will be somethin uve never seen.

Wijnaldum urges Liverpool to keep fighting in top-four tussle
Palace have won six out of their last seven top-flight fixtures to pull clear of the bottom three. One long ball, one cross and Benteke alone in the box - there is no excuse.

Odell Beckham Jr is one of the most talented wide receivers in football, so picking up the fifth-year option on his rookie contract seems like a no-brainer for the New York Giants. Head down, my fire has been lit and the world continues to fuel it. That was the expectation and will become official prior to the May 3 deadline, likely as soon as Thursday with an announcement from the team.

The Giants have 11 days on whether to exercise their fifth-year option on Beckham or not. Given that Beckham, 24, has registered at least 90 receptions, 1,300 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns in each of his first three seasons, that represents a relative bargain for the superstar. The three picks in front of Beckham - Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr, Lions tight end Eric Ebron and Titans tackle Taylor Lewan - have yet to have their options picked up.

"I think he is a guy that hears what we are saying and like John [Mara] said, 'We are not anxious about Odell, ' " Reese said last week, his first news conference since the end of the 2016 season when he said that the young receiver needed to "grow up". The Giants picked up the options on first-round picks Justin Pugh previous year and Prince Amukamara in 2014.
