Adrian Peterson Agrees To Two-Year Deal With Saints

And he now has breaking news about Adrian Peterson.

ESPN's Josina Anderson is reporting that Peterson is signing a two-year deal with the New Orleans Saints.

The 10-year veteran running back played in just three games in his final season with the Minnesota Vikings due to a torn meniscus, and is eager to prove doubters wrong once again in 2017.

That will certainly be one of the more talked about games entering Week 1 of the 2017 season.

Peterson obviously thought change is good after the Minnesota Vikings declined to pick up his $18 million dollar. Combine that with last year's injury-ruined season and a contract that called for him to make $18 million, the Vikings made a decision to move on and released him.

Peterson first met with the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.

The two-year-contract is said to be a one-year deal plus a one-year option.

Trump praises China's Xi over handling of North Korea
Trump was pressed on whether he thought North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un was a rational man. As to whether or not he's rational, I have no opinion on it.

It's been six weeks since Peterson was released by the Vikings, who drafted him seventh overall in 2007. The Saints visit the Vikings in Week 1 as part of ESPN's Monday Night Football doubleheader.

"It's going to be a fun opportunity now, because every time he is in there I'll be like, 'Ooh, I can't wait, '" defensive end Everson Griffen said.

In an interesting side note, New Orleans travels to Minnesota in the first week of the season.

Peterson's career-best 2,097-yard rushing season in 2012 came one season after he had reconstructive knee surgery to fix a torn ACL. "I feel like my skill set can make them even more dominant as a unit".

Since recovering from ACL reconstruction on his left knee to rush for 2,097 yards in 2012 and win the MVP, Peterson has defied the evidence that running backs wear down by age 30.

"I chose this team because it felt right within my spirit...and they have a great offensive line". He is a former NFL MPV and ranks 16th in NFL history with 11,747 rushing yards. When the running back was with the Vikings, defenders never were allowed to tackle him in practice.
