Sean Hannity Warns of 'Total End' of Fox News

Fox News co-president Bill Shine is privately expressing uncertainty regarding his future at the network, according to a report from NY magazine.

That ominous last bit from the insider was a play on one of Hannity's many tweets from today about the Murdochs reluctance to publicly back his former producer and halt a potential hit job from on high.

"Gabe i pray this is NOT true because if it is, that's the total end of the FNC as we know it", declared Hannity on Twitter. A shake-up with Fox News is something that would definitely impact Hannity, of course.

Shine's name has appeared during dark times at the network, notably as an ally to former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes amid various sexual harassment lawsuits. Shine - a co-defendant in Julie Rodinsky's sexual discrimination suit, Andrea Tartaro's workplace harassment suit, and Kelly Wrights's racial discrimination suit - reportedly asked James and Lachlan Murdoch, Fox News' CEO and chairman, respectively, to release a public statement of support this week. "Hannity then tweeted, "#Istandwithbill" and "#Istandwithshine" in support of the Fox executive.

Hannity sent out a subsequent tweet hinting that he knew who at Fox News "is trying to get an innocent person fired". And Gabe I KNOW WHO it is.

CNN Money asked who this person was, but Sean Hannity declined to provide an answer.

"Hannity and Shine have a long history at the 21st Century Fox-owned cable-news outlet".

Shine denied asking for a statement, through a spokesperson, according to Sherman.

Shine took over as co-president of Fox News Channel with Jack Abernethy a year ago after longtime chief Roger Ailes stepped down amid claims of sexual harassment. FNC themselves did not respond to request for comment from Deadline on today's tweets and the host and executive suite situation.
