The May’s first weekend has already passed and real fans of races started their preparations for the Derby in Kentucky. We can all enjoy the show online looking for horse racing odds and future races - all gathered on William Hill's site.

The first leg will happen this Saturday at the Churchill Downs in the Louisville. It is called Triple Crown. And even though there are two more days left, official betting lines were released.

According to the official tables, the current favorite is Always Dreaming with 4 to 1, then goes Classic Empire with 17 to 4 and the third place is shared by Irish War Cry and McCraken on 13 to 1.

All horses have already arrived and wait for the beginning of the race.

Experts have checked the field on different possible defections and unlike the previous years, they did not notice anything suspicious.

Twenty horses take part in this leg, and two as stand-ins, if anything will accidently happen with the main participants of the race.

If you don’t believe in official betting line and prefer to pick the winner by yourself, here are some hints about the most prominent participants of the race for you:

- Looking at Lee is trained by Steve Asmussen, and will be ride by Corey Lanerie. Steve Asmussen is a high-class trainer with his name in the Hall of Fame. And it is one of his best creations. Looking at Lee may be can fall asleep during the start, but his October race in Lexington, when he came second, was pretty impressive. Odds: 20 to 1.

- Thunder Snow with his trainer Saeed bin Suroor, and jockey Christophe Soumillon earned the same bets as the previous participant, but it is his first debut in this race. During winter he was trained in Dubai, winning a few important races there including Derby of UAE. However, his career began on the English turf, with only two victories on dirt.

- Fast and Accurate with 50 to 1 odds will be ride by Channing Hill and trained by Mike Maker. He has a bunch of owners behind his back. He was offered by 30 000 dollars during his first victorious race.

- Always Dreaming is a favorite in odds with trainer Todd Pletcher, and jockey John Velazquez. It is still an undefeated horse with three victories in the past. During his last workout, he was faster than his 35 rivals.

- State of Honor with Mark Casse as a trainer, jockey Jose Lezcano is in the team “B”. Last October he brought much-awaited victory, taken part in 10 different starts before. The horse almost caught Always Dreaming in Florida but finished the second.

- Gunnevera is among the favorites in a betting line. The horse is trained by Antonio Sano. Jockey is Javier Castello. The odds are 15 to 1. The horse won 3 stakes, including Fountain of Youth, Grade 2 victory which was very impressive.

- Classic Empire’s trainer is Mark Casse. Jockey is Julien Leparoux. This horse is called ‘bad boy’ by his own trainers and he is nothing but trouble. Last year he won two important races at Churchill Downs, and later threw his jockey in Saratoga. Then another victory and everyone forgot that this horse has refused to be trained for a few weeks.

- McCraken, despite his name and trainer Ian Wilkes, is an opposite of the previous horse. He will be ride by Brian Hernandex Jr. Last month he was defeated by a Blue Grass. And still, he stays among the most promising Derby participants. He has four wins, and three of them were in Churchill.
