Suspended NFL LB Rolando McClain arrested in Alabama

The former Alabama linebacker was reportedly arrested Friday in Hartselle, Ala., on firearm and drug charges, according to Anna Beahm of Decatur Daily. Authorities then allegedly found McClain in possession of a firearm without a permit and marijuana. "The officer found marijuana and a gun, and (McClain) didn't have a permit".

Linebacker Rolando McClain was suspended indefinitely by the National Football League last December and his latest offseason development isn't going to help him find his way back into the NFL.

He will be unable to reapply for reinstatement until November.

McClain was booked into the Morgan County Jail on a $2,000 bond. He's played for the Raiders and the Cowboys. McClain has also had several previous run-ins with the law in and around Decatur, where he attended high school.

Masai Ujiri: Raptors need 'culture reset'
Wait for LeBron to turn to dust? The Cavaliers opened a 14-point lead on Korver's 3-pointer late in the first half. As the action continued at the other end of the court, both men reached an arm out to hoist the other to his feet.

But he missed the first four games of the 2015 season because of a substance abuse violation. McClain started 23 games with the Cowboys between the 2013 and 2014 seasons. In that incident, police were trying to disperse a crowd when, police said, McClain shouted an expletive at police and pulled away from officers trying to arrest him.

A third violation of the substance abuse policy prevented him from ever seeing the field in 2016 and guaranteed that he wouldn't be available to play until the latter half of the 2017 season.

It was one of those "window tint violations" traffic stops they like to do around those Southern US parts.
