Quantico Gets a Season 3 but There's a Catch

The search for the new show runner is on. "#AlexParrish will be back soon".

The show's creator and executive producer Josh Safran will be stepping down from his role as showrunner, though he will remain a consultant. As of now, no new showrunner has been appointed but, it feels that ABC made a decision to go for the change amid falling ratings.

ABC's "Quantico" has been renewed for a season three, albeit with a few changes. Production remains in NY for the show, which looks at the lives of young government workers as they go through training to become special agents.

"My deal on the show was two years only, and it's up", Safran tells The Hollywood Reporter. "I'm leaving the show in a good place and capable hands", Safran shared. The sophomore season is also down 36 percent from the previous season with averaged 2.8 million total viewers. ABC is clearly high on the show - and much of the industry is high on its star Priyanka Chopra.

NBC is pinning a lot of his hopes on this year's breakout hit This Is Us, which the network previously announced is moving to Thursdays, and on Monday dropped a season-two teaser featuring the show's actors surprising fans.

Excited, PeeCee even shared a cute boomerang video on her Instagram account, where she is seen blowing kisses.

Also starring Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Graham Rogers, Russell Tovey and Blair Underwood, the show's next season will most probably be its last.
