Antonio Conte named LMA Manager of the Year

Terry, who will leave champions Chelsea at the end of the season, was given a guard of honour as he left the pitch in the 26th minute of his final Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.

Former Italy and Juventus boss Conte masterminded a stunning march to glory in his debut Premier League campaign as Chelsea amassed a record 30 wins in the 38-game season, finishing seven points clear of second-placed Tottenham on 93 points.

Having brought the smiles back to Stamford Bridge following the emotionally sapping final months of Mourinho's tenure as Chelsea manager, Conte's next challenge is to equip his squad for a return to the Champions League.

The former Italy manager is the second Italian in a row to win the award, after Claudio Ranieri won past year.

Conte, also voted Premier League Manager of the Year, is the second Italian boss in two years to win the Premier League following the Foxes' triumph.

Chelsea have acquired 43 more points than the 50 they managed last season, when Leicester won the title, and Conte has been rightly lavished with praise for their performances.

After a huge disappointment last season, Conte managed to very quickly change the team's attitude and performance, with his no-fuss atmosphere.

Chelsea claimed a Premier League-record 30 victories under the stewardship of Conte, including 13 in a row from October 1, to finish seven points ahead of second-placed Tottenham. "You have to say it's been a near-perfect season and they could round it off with an FA Cup trophy at the weekend".

Sheffield United's Chris Wilder and Portsmouth's Paul Cook claimed the respective League One and Two awards. "If you ask me who you think the favourites are now, I think it's Arsenal", he said.

Here, we're taking a look at the likelihood of Chelsea winning the double, with the FA Cup final set to take place against rival London club Arsenal, and why the odds are forever in their favour.
