Iran accuses US of 'Iranophobia', arming 'dangerous terrorists'

But he warned Middle Eastern nations that they "cannot wait for American power to crush" Islamic terrorism, stating that America's role is not to "lecture" or "tell other people how to live, what to do, who to be, or how to worship". "A better future is only possible if your nations drive out the terrorists and drive out the extremists". They're not allowed to drive in the country, work with men, or get married without a male guardian's permission.

"I don't think anybody needs to remind us about that".

"Terrorism has spread all across the world".

During the president's recent visit, the US and Saudi Arabia sealed deals of between $280 billion and $380 billion, including an arms deal, which is valued at $110 billion.

Ivanka Trump spoke at the "tweeps" youth forum in Riyadh, an event to discuss combating extremism on social media, instead of her father after a long day for the President of meetings, conferences and speeches.

First lady Melania Trump is greeted as she visits GE All women business process service center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, May 21, 2017.

"This landmark agreement includes the announcement of a $110 billion Saudi-funded defence purchase". The creation of a fund that solicits donations from such countries and is championed by Trump's daughter, one of Trump's closest advisers, could open the President up to charges of hypocrisy, saying that the concept is not dissimilar to the Clinton Foundation, which he roundly criticized as a candidate.

"Religious leaders must make this absolutely clear: Barbarism will deliver you no glory-piety to evil will bring you no dignity", Trump said.

"For decades, Iran has fueled the fires of sectarian conflict and terror", Trump said. Trump also called for isolation of Iran for funding terrorists, drawing sharp criticism from Tehran. "It is a regime that is responsible for so much instability in the region", he said. "I am speaking of course of Iran".

On refugees, he praised Lebanon and Turkey for accommodating Syrians fleeing war at home. It was his first major speech outside America, his first foreign tour (as president) and probably the first time he has addressed dozens of Muslim leaders (again as president). "Behind every pair of eyes is a soul that yearns for justice and years for peace".

Trump has also opted against an immediate move of the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, a longtime demand of Israel.

Reacting to Trump's address, the Council on American Islamic Relations said "one speech can not outweigh years of anti-Muslim rhetoric", and urged "concrete actions... to reset relations with the Muslim world".

Ms Trump gave a three-minute speech in his place, thanking the Saudi royals for their hospitality.

Trump's signature phrase "radical Islamic terrorism" was not included in the speech, according to excerpts released in advance by the White House.

According to the White House, the deal between the USA and Saudi Arabia is aimed at boosting the kingdom's defense capabilities in the face of the threat coming from Iran and supporting its efforts to counter terrorist groups operating in the region.

For instance, British Prime Minister Theresa May and German Chancellor Angela Merkel did not wear headscarves during their separate visits to Saudi Arabia earlier this year, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did not cover her head on her several trips to the kingdom.
