An 8-year-old girl was among the dead - the youngest known victim - and the child's mother and sister were among 59 people wounded in what British Prime Minister Theresa May called "a callous terrorist attack".

In a statement released through Lancashire County Council, Tarleton Community Primary School headteacher Chris Upton said: "News of Saffie's death in this appalling attack has come as a tremendous shock to all of us and I would like to send our deepest condolences to all of her family and friends". "They gave the best possible immediate response to those who seek to divide us and it will be that spirit of Manchester that will prevail and hold us together".

Following the bombing, many people have used Twitter for good causes, including spreading images and details about missing people such as 29-year-old Martyn Hett. She said authorities were trying to determine if he had an accomplice.

The incident was the worst terror attack in Britain since the suicide bombings on London's transport network of July 2005 that killed 52 people and injured hundreds. "Some people were screaming they'd seen blood but other people were saying it was balloons busting or a speaker had been popped".

Bishop Rawstorne Church of England Academy confirmed that Georgina died as a result of the injuries she sustained.

He added: 'Saffie was simply a attractive little girl in every aspect of the word.

Speaking from the West Bank on Tuesday, President Donald Trump denounced the attackers as "evil losers".

'Saffie was quiet and unassuming with a creative flair.

"We mourn the lives of children and loved ones taken by this cowardly act", her manager, Scooter Braun, added.

Monday's bomb attack has raised concerns that a more sophisticated network may exist in the country than previously thought. "We ran out of the arena and there were bodies on the floor", said the 21-year-old from Keighley in northern England.

So far it has not been confirmed whether there was a single blast or multiple explosions.

Crying children and parents desperately tried to find each other as cell phone signals faltered in the deluge of calls, witnesses said. "I heard five or six bangs that sounded like gunshots". He said he would specifically decline to describe them as "monsters", because he believed they would "like that term".

"I want her home and I want her safe".

She said her daughter was devastated.

"This wicked ideology must be obliterated".
