Attention turns to Kushner amid FBI's Russian Federation probe

Memorial Day weekend: the unofficial start to summer

It was caught in relations with Russian Federation.

President Trump has described the situation as "the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history".

Specifically, the Post reported on Thursday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is looking into Kushner's meetings with Russian officials to determine "the extent and nature" of his communications with the Russian government.

Kushner is being investigated because of his meetings in December and other possible interactions with the Russian ambassador and a banker from Moscow, the Post reported, citing people familiar with the investigation.

While NBC News reports that Kushner is not a subject of the investigation into potential collusion between the Russian government and the Trump campaign, the FBI is nevertheless seeking information from the senior White House advisor and son-in-law to President Donald Trump.

The publication stresses that trump's son-in-law was struck by a effect "the scope and nature of its interaction with the Russians".

"Mr. Kushner previously volunteered to share with Congress what he knows about these meetings".

One of Kushner's attorneys, Jamie Gorelick, said in a statement her client would cooperate with the investigation.

"I can't confirm or deny the existence or the absence of investigations, or the investigations", - said the "fact Kouchner", press Secretary of the Ministry of justice Sarah Isgur Flores. The FBI declined to comment. While the meeting isn't illegal, the meetings and phone calls were not made public at the time.

Russian Federation has repeatedly denied any involvement in the United States presidential election.

Unable to secure Comey's cooperation, Trump then turned to the DNI and NSA to apply additional leverage, all with the direct intention of halting the investigation.

Kushner is now traveling with the president in Europe. Flynn was also present at the early-December meeting, and later that month, Flynn held a call with Kislyak to discuss USA -imposed sanctions against Russian Federation.

On Tuesday it was revealed that White House national security adviser Michael Flynn would plead the fifth amendment by refusing to hand over documents to the Senate panel. His list of policy responsibilities is vast - his foreign policy portfolio alone includes Canada and Mexico, China, and peace in the Middle East - yet he rarely speaks publicly about any of them.
