John Terry "could not care less" about Chelsea farewell criticism

The Italian was awarded manager of the year and Premier League manager of the year for bringing the title back to Stamford Bridge. This is amusing to him.

The English Football Association (FA) has contacted a number of bookmakers to seek observations regarding the time-specific substitution of Chelsea player John Terry during his last game for the Premier League football club.

"I couldn't care less, I promise you".

Cape Town - John Terry says that he won't rush into retirement following his final appearance for Chelsea on Sunday, saying that he fears regretting the decision later.

"I had a discussion with the manager - I think he wanted to get the boys that didn't play on Monday night against Watford and give them a run out", he said. It is incredible. It is my first season here in England and I want to say thanks to all the people that voted for me.

"[The 26th minute substitution/guard of honour] is not for me but you should focus on his career more". The parachute payments will only go so far as clubs try to rebuild and keep hold of as many of their players as possible to make a swift return.

Terry started the game and was subbed off in the 26th minute - his shirt number - then received a sustained ovation from supporters and a guard of honour from his teammates.

Terry added: "It was an unbelievable send-off from the supporters for me to celebrate my 22 years at the club, I am so thankful to them".

"It's been football, football, football and I need to get away and be clear and know it's the right thing I'm doing". Hopefully we'll be able to lift the cup again.

JERMAIN DEFOE is a notable absentee as Sunderland bow out of the Premier League with a visit to Chelsea. I'm thankful to every single one of them.

Alan Shearer said on Match Of The Day: "Terry has been an absolute giant of the Premier League, 717 appearances, 15 trophies".

"I only put money on this because I thought this is surely going to come in", said the punter, who wished to remain anonymous.
