Trump orders investigation after Manchester leaks

Eight people have so far been arrested in connection with Monday's terror attack on a concert at Manchester Arena, which killed 22 people and wounded more than 50, with numerous victims being children.

Salman Abedi recently traveled to Libya and authorities have been trying to determine if he also visited war-torn Syria.

British authorities investigating the deadly Manchester suicide bombing are reportedly no longer sharing intelligence with United States officials following multiple leaks of information to the media.

British Prime Minister Theresa May said she raise the issue with President Trump at a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation meeting in Brussels later Thursday. May discussed the matter privately with Trump later in the day.

British officials are particularly angry that photos detailing evidence about the bomb were published in The New York Times, although it's not clear that the paper obtained the photos from USA officials.

"A third US government source" was cited to identify the attacker as Salman Abedi, or Salman Ramadan Abedi, according to Reuters.

A spokesperson for the Libyan authorities told BBC: "His brother felt there was something going on there in Manchester and he thought his brother would do something like bombing or attack".

"He was giving farewell", bin Salem added. "Another man has been arrested in the Manchester area in connection with this investigation, bringing the total number of men in custody to eight", the Greater Manchester Police said.

Rudd also says it is "irritating" that information about the investigation into the bombing had been leaked by U.S. security sources before the British police were ready to go public with it. But leaks from the investigation were creating a diplomatic mess.

Six people have so far been arrested in the United Kingdom, including a woman after an armed raid in Manchester, as well as his father and brother in Libya. "It is absolutely understandable the distress and upset this has caused those families, who are already suffering as everybody can imagine".

"The alleged leaks coming out of government agencies are deeply troubling", Trump said in a statement released after he arrived in Brussels for a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit, also attended by May.

A possible detonator found in Abedi's left hand.

Before his arrest, Abedi's father said he had last spoken to his son five days ago and he sounded "normal".

The Islamic State terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Meanwhile, an emerging portrait of the alleged bomber remained complicated by competing assessments over whether Abedi held views that had sparked concern and attention before the bombing.

Sky News has discovered suicide bomber Salman Abedi, who targeted the show, had links to an Islamic State cell which operated in Manchester, and knew one of the terror group's most prolific recruiters.

"There was a sermon about anti-Daesh (IS) and he stood up and started calling the Imam - 'You are talking bollocks, '" Ramadan said. "And he gave a good stare, a threatening stare into the imam's eyes".

Mohammed Fadl, a community leader, rejected that account.

Abedi was born in Britain to a Libyan family, grew up in Manchester's southern suburbs and attended the local Salford University for a time.

He said he heard that Salman's father took his son's passport away amid concerns about Salman's close ties to extremists and criminals, but had no proof of that. He did not provide details, and said it's unclear whether Abedi was part of a larger network of attackers.
