Ariana Grande Announces Benefit Concert To Take Place In Manchester

A still-heartbroken Ariana Grande has broken her silence on the suicide bomb violence that ripped through her concert in Manchester, England, on Monday, telling the victims "I extend my hand and heart" and promising to return to the city to throw a benefit concert.

"I'll be returning to the incredibly fearless city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families".

"I'll be returning to the incredibly courageous city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families", she wrote Friday, adding that she would release details once the plans are confirmed. But a new report from TMZ now gives fans a clearer picture of what to look forward to and when the "star-studded" concert may be held.

CNNMoney first reported on Tuesday that Grande would postpone her tour after the attack, which claimed the lives of 22 people and injured at least 59 more.

Grande is not the only artist who plans a charity gig. Together with her manager Scooter Braun, Ariana is also "reaching out to some of the biggest names in music" as well as to some of her closest friends in the industry and convincing them to take part in the benefit concert. The suicide bomber's identity has been revealed by the police as Salman Abedi, 22, a son of Libyan parents who fled their native country and sought refuge in Britain.

"Due to the tragic events in Manchester, the Dangerous Woman tour with Ariana Grande has been suspended until we can further assess the situation and pay our proper respects to those lost", the statement read.

The canceled tour stops include: Belgium on May 28, Poland on May 31 and June 1, Germany on June 3 and Switzerland on June 5.

Her manager Scooter Braun said in a statement: "Words can not express our sorrow for the victims and families harmed in this senseless attack".

Ariana Grande performs on August 26, 2015.
