Of course the new phone comes at a higher price. Samsung, however, was quick to respond to the grievances of its consumers and launched a top end variant of their flagship with 6GB RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy S8+ was initially launched with only 4GB RAM on board, and that had greatly disheartened many Galaxy fans worldwide.

Apart from extra storage, 6GB RAM will surely make Galaxy S8 faster. With a budget flagship like OnePlus 3T packing 6GB RAM, most of us were expecting something similar in the Galaxy S8+. For comparison, the standard variant of the Galaxy S8 Plus retails for Rs. 64,900. However, it will have the same 6.2-inch full "Infinity Display" which has no bezels on the side, and comes with a dual-edge curved display.

To boost sales, Samsung is also giving out a free wireless charger that's worth Rs. 4,499 to customers who purchase the smartphone.

You'll be able to pre-order the high-end smartphone in the country from June 2 via the Samsung Shop and Flipkart, with sales officially kicking off on June 9.

Apple iPhone 7 128GB variant is available for less at around Rs 63,000. "It is the ultimate device for power users who aspire to explore new possibilities, are always on top of their game and for whom multi-tasking is a way of life", said Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India.
