Warriors come out to play against Cavaliers on ESPN, DirecTV in LATAM

After finishing second in the National Basketball Association behind Curry in regular season triples made for a fourth straight season, Thompson has been decidedly average offensively during the postseason, shooting 38 percent from the floor and 36.4 percent from 3-point range while averaging 14.4 points per game - down several from his 22.3 mark in the regular season.

Cleveland and Golden State are meeting in the Finals for the third consecutive season this year, and the Warriors have begun each of those three series as the favorite. Golden State now has Kevin Durant. The Golden State Warriors face the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday i.

Durant took heat for leaving behind a solid Oklahoma City squad that pushed the Warriors to the brink of elimination in last year's Western Conference final, but the move has paid off so far.

Prediction: Warriors in 7.

I think each team steals a road game early in this series, but then the home teams will hold serve in Games 5, 6 & 7.

Is that enough to beat Golden State? "That's the only pressure I worry about", said Durant. That opened the door for the Cavs to win that game in Oakland and eventually become the first team to ever rally from a 3-1 series deficit to win the Finals.

Curry is appearing in his third straight NBA Finals. Because if you're a real fan at a playoff game, you want to see a hard-fought battle, back and forth, and at the end somebody wins by a point and you go home worn out...

"Our chemistry is getting better and better", Durant said.

The Cavaliers have lost just once in three playoff rounds, falling on a last- second shot by three points to top-seeded Boston in game three of the Eastern Conference finals, while winning the other four games by an average of almost 26 points.

When opponents focus on shutting him out, the four-time Most Valuable Player has the uncanny ability of finding his sidekicks Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. Two, I wasn't convinced that adding Kevin Durant to the Warriors' loaded mix would be as seamless as Golden State has made it look. The shooting guard/small forward was awarded the 2015 Finals Most Valuable Player title for his Herculean effort in stopping the 32-year-old.

The biggest question concerning Love leading into Game 1 Thursday night is the fact that, although he is now playing the best he has every played as a Cavalier, how will he fare against the Finals against Warriors?

The Warriors are 12-0 in the playoffs and have won 27 of their last 28 overall. Thompson's shot has been off in the postseason, hitting just about 38 percent from the field, but his defense is probably more important than his offense now anyway as the usual primary defender against Kyrie Irving.
