Antoine Griezmann indicates he'll stay at Atletico Madrid after all

The club have been contemplating Griezmann's signing, and triggering the player's £87 million release clause. Griezmann followed it up by saying that he was ready to leave Atletico in order to fulfil his ambitions of winning trophies.

At the same time it was reported that Griezmann was no longer a priority for United, many suggested that Mourinho wanted to bring in a number nine.

Griezmann seemingly pledged his allegiance to Atletico by posting on Twitter: "Now more than ever #Atleti #All together." on Thursday.

Atletico and city rivals Real Madrid were barred from registering new players for two transfer windows in January 2016 for irregularities in the signing of foreign players under 18.

But with Atletico's transfer ban upheld today and them unable to replace their stars, United may well have to switch their attentions elsewhere with regards to striking targets.

Antoine Griezmann has dropped another hint over his future that appears to bode well for Atletico Madrid.

American Graham Rahal is now sponsored by Steak 'n Shake and has previously been sponsored by McDonald's. Alonso has started the debate and will have piqued the interest of a number of IndyCar drivers .

The 35-year-old's contract at Old Trafford runs out this summer and his agent Mino Raiola admitted on Wednesday that he did not know where the Swede will be playing next season.

The domino effect of Griezmann not joining United and Costa not going to Atletico means the chances of Lukaku returning to his old club is unlikely.

A host of British media outlets, including The Guardian, are stating that Manchester United have ended their interest in Antoine Griezmann, while The Mirror claim that Jose Mourinho wants Lyon superstar Alexandre Lacazette instead.

It was hard to believe United had a sudden change of heart over the Frenchman's qualities and now Atletico sources have offered an alternative version of events from last Thursday.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper's consistent performances have led to admiring glances from the Spanish capital, with Real interested in signing a player they come close to buying in 2015.
