Trump's tweeted 'covfefe' becomes a NY vanity license plate

On 1 June 2017, the satirical web site Babylon Bee jumped in on a recent uproar surrounding one of President Donald Trump's tweets. His tweet that read "Despite the constant negative press covfefe" left many people across the world confused. "I recently said on Face the Nation that nothing keeps me awake at night".

The post was still available more than three hours after it appeared on his feed and no clarification has been given. At 0910 GMT Trump's "covfefe" tweet had more than 120,000 retweets and had been shared 39,000 times, as per to Twitter figures.

He deleted it at 5.50 a.m., and by then, it was re-tweeted more than 100,000 times, making it the career best for Mr. Trump who routinely announces policy and snipes at critics at home and overseas in fewer than 140 characters.

Hillary Clinton, speaking Wednesday at Codecon in California, joked that Trump's recent apparent mis-tweet was actually a coded message to Russian Federation. "Despite the constant negative press covfefe", he wrote, and. that's it. When asked in the past about other Trump tweets, White House spokesman Sean Spicer has said the posts speak for themselves.

In case you still don't know what we are talking about, this is Trump's tweet.

During Trump's nine-day trip overseas, there was a concerted White House effort to keep wayward tweets from distracting from the presidential images, according to two people with knowledge of the administration's plans but not authorized to discuss them publicly.

Hillary Clinton came prepared with more than one zinger about the mystery word of the day: Covfefe. "Trump is right - he really does have the best words".
