Vladimir Putin claims 'patriotic hackers' framed Russian Federation for United States election interference

The idea of a damaging Russian file on Trump "is just another piece of nonsense", Putin said.

United States intelligence officials have said Russian Federation tried to interfere in the U.S. election by hacking the Democratic Party, in order to help Donald Trump - a charge the Kremlin has repeatedly denied.

Russian President Vladimir Putin strongly denied he had any compromising material about U.S. President Donald Trump in a sometimes combative televised interview broadcast on Sunday. Putin said during an interview with NBC's Megyn Kelly. Trump's most ardent critics are already talking about impeachment.

"There is a theory that Kennedy's assassination was arranged by the United States intelligence services".

"They might have read a certain article and if they are in the patriotic mood, then they start making their contributions the way they see it positive towards the Russian image", Putin said, according to an Associated Press translation. "We have a lot of Americans who visit us".

The Washington Post had reported that in a NY meeting in December with Russian ambassador to Washington Sergei Kislyak, the 36-year-old Kushner suggested setting up a back channel of communications with Moscow.

Yes, Ms. Kelly's new show is titled "Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly", and her first efforts are robust.

"I am not aware of such a proposal".

"[Putin] talked openly about his family, and it was off the record so I won't get into it, but he talked lovingly about his family", the NBC host said. Putin, a former KGB spy, said. For me, this is just fantastic. And proceeded to turn that sensation into a tool for fighting the sitting president. Well, this is, you know, you're just, you people are so creative over there. Putin said such a request would have been reported to him.

Former CIA director John Brennan said last month he had noticed contacts between Trump's campaign associates and Russian Federation during the 2016 election and grew concerned Moscow had sought to lure Americans down "a treasonous path".

He's expected to be questioned Tuesday about Trump's alleged efforts to get him to drop the probe into the Trump campaign's ties to Russian Federation - an investigation that concerns Michael Flynn.

Russia's Prime Minister Vladimir Putin meets supporters in Moscow, December 1, 2011.

Flynn's resignation came days after the Post's report was published, but it was later revealed that the White House had already been aware of Flynn's actions - former acting attorney general Sally Yates had warned the Trump administration in late January that Flynn was susceptible to Russian blackmail, but Flynn did not resign until 18 days later, following the Post's report. "They can be in Russian Federation, in Asia.even in America, Latin America", he said.

"Why do feel you have the right to ask us these kind of questions?" He also asked, quote - "Have you all lost your senses over there?"

Kelly continued to push Putin.

"I made my speech", Putin said, adding the two barely talked. And then afterwards I was told, "You know there was an American gentleman, he was involved in some things".
