Police dashcam video shows Tiger Woods' sobriety test and arrest

Dash cam footage from Tiger Woods' arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence was released on Wednesday by the Jupiter, Florida Police Department. The responding officer reported that Woods' speech was "slow and slurred" and that he "did not know where he was". He originally said he was coming from "L.A." and on his way to "Orange County" before stating that he had no idea where he was.

This is not the first time Woods has made headlines away from the course.

TMZ published the police footage of the vehicle stop, field sobriety tests, and arrest of Woods, who they describe as "like a zombie in the footage - swaying, incoherent ... and unable to even tie his own shoes".

The video shows officers approach the auto and Woods, who didn't know where he was.

He was later released on his own recognizance, a spokesperson for Jupiter police said.

The officer asks him what medications he had been taking; Woods' answer is muted.

About 24 minutes into the video, Woods is asked to put his hands behind his back and is handcuffed.

UK Weighs Counterterrorism Options in Wake of London Attack
People across Britain have paused for a moment of silence to remember those killed and injured in the London Bridge attack . Police shot and killed the three attackers within eight minutes of receiving an emergency call, police said .

The footage came from his arrest Monday in the dark of early morning when Jupiter police noticed his Mercedes parked on the side of a six-lane road, part of it in the road and part of it in the bicycle lane. The front bumper on the driver's side also had been slightly dislodged. Woods issued a statement almost 10 hours after he was released from jail on Monday that alcohol was not involved.

In the video, Woods tells police he had not been drinking, which was confirmed by a Breathalyzer test.

The golfer, who recorded a.000 blood-alcohol level at the time of his arrest, struggled with his sobriety test, seeming confused throughout.

The statement was later validated after learning he blew all zeros on his breath test.

"I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved", Woods said in a statement.

He was later charged with driving under the influence, something the 41-year-old blamed on an "unexpected reaction" to a mix of prescription medications. Woods later said his condition was caused by prescription medications.

Woods, who has 79 PGA Tour wins and 14 major titles, has competed in just 19 events on the Tour since the end of 2013 due to injuries. "I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again". As recently as only last week we had heard him express how he "hadn't felt this good in years" following the operation.
