The NSA report, dated May 5, provides details of a 2016 Russian cyberattack on a U.S. voting software supplier, though there is no evidence the hack affected any votes.

A federal judge says a young woman charged with leaking classified USA documents to a reporter will remain in jail until her trial.

According to Solari she told them she was "mad about what she had recently seen in the media" and she "wanted to set the facts right".

Prosecutors argued that the only thing victor could do if she were released on bail is be recruited by the nation's enemies.

The FBI said unauthorized disclosure of the secret document "could reasonably result in exceptionally grave damage to the national security", though the government has not alleged that victor sought to share the report with foreign agents.

Reality Leigh Winner, 25, is accused of passing a top secret National Security Agency report to The Intercept while working as a contractor with Pluribus International Corp.

At the time, victor was working at an NSA outpost while technically employed by a government contractor called Pluribus International Corp.

Winner, shackled at the feet and wearing an orange jumpsuit in court, said little during Thursday's proceeding, except to reply, "not guilty, your honor", when asked for her plea, and to answer "yes" and "no" to procedural questions put to her by the judge.

The Air Force veteran charged with leaking classified information to a news organization will receive no bond after standing before a federal judge Thursday afternoon.

Prosecutors said she also instructed family members to transfer $30,000 into her mother's account so she'd appear poor enough for a court-appointed attorney.

Victor is a former Air Force linguist who now works as a US government contractor.

As The Washington Post previously reported, victor had recently moved to Augusta, Ga., after taking a job with security subcontractor Pluribus International. She has no record.

Gary Davis said his stepdaughter isn't a flight risk.

Victor told authorities, according to Solari, that she was "mad about what she had recently seen in the media" and that she "wanted to set the facts right", CNN reported.

Here's the shot: Alleged NSA leaker Reality Winner headed back to prison after judge denies bond.

And there was a notation in one notebook, Solari said in which victor purportedly wrote, "I want to burn the White House down".

Trump, who has repeatedly vowed to crack down on leakers, believes anyone found guilty of unlawfully disclosing government secrets should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said at a press briefing ahead of the detention hearing for victor.
