Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been told to copy Jose Mourinho by David Seaman

According to a report by Arsenal's official website, Wenger has ended all speculation regarding his future as Arsenal manager by signing a new two-year contract at the club.

Arsene Wenger has called on Arsenal supporters to "be together" with the players and club after signing a new two-year deal with the club.

The Arsenal legend, who who made 564 appearances for the club and won eight major trophies, told talkSPORT: "They have got to tighten it up at the back".

"This is a strong group of players and with some additions we can be even more successful". We have the right person for that and I know Arsene is committed to that.

Henry played an integral role in Arsenal's last league triumph, scoring 30 goals as the Gunners went the entire 2003-04 campaign unbeaten on their way to the title.

"The ambition is to put this club in a position where we are winning the Premier League, where we are competing to win in Europe and pushing forward".

Henry added: "Everyone is waiting for the title; the club, the players, the fans and Arsene himself.

If you ask me now whether Arsenal are going to be in the top four next season, I would say most probably not".

The French gaffer's future at the Emirate was uncertain following the conclusion of the 2016-17 Premier League season, in which the Gunners failed to qualify for the Champions League and also finished behind north London rivals Tottenham.

A fifth-placed top-flight finish and humiliating Champions League exit, which came in a 10-2 aggregate loss to familiar foe Bayern Munich, was among the reasons for discontent.

Wenger, however, will remain in charge after signing a two-year extension at the Emirates Stadium, and will face vast pressure to boost the squad and improve on a dismal campaign. "He has a fantastic track record and has our full backing". It is building on a defence and that is what we did at Arsenal for a long time.
