Cops: Suspect in 3 deaths may be involved in 2 more killings

The 45-year-old man was taken into custody early Tuesday after a standoff in Brunswick, south of Cleveland.

"Most of it was done, face-to-face negotiations" through a window, Brunswick Police Lieutenant Robert Safran told the news station.

Police say he is suspected in the deaths of the three women found dead Sunday night in a North Royalton home.

He was taken into custody Tuesday after a standoff in Brunswick.

Authorities said they are investigating the deaths as homicides, according to the AP.

George Brinkman's vehicle. North Royalton Po. say their triple homicide appears to be connected to a double homicide in Stark Co.

When Rogell John didn't show up for work at the family business, Maier said, his son went to check on him Monday and found his father and stepmother dead.

The victims were identified as 18-year-old Kylie Pifer, 21-year-old Taylor Pifer and their mother, Suzanne Taylor, Loeding said. The bodies of the victims from Lake Township, Rogell Eugene John II, 71, and Roberta Ray John, 64, were discovered at their residence in Lake Township.

Police officers forced entry into the home this morning and were able to take Brinkman into custody by utilizing a stun gun, police said. Since then, officials said Brinkman might also have killed another couple, which would mean he committed five murders within 48 hours, if the allegations are proven to be true. Police in North Royalton wouldn't say what kind of relationship, if any, the suspect had with the Johns or the slain mother and daughters. Brinkman previously was in a relationship with the couple's daughter, sheriff's deputies said. There was a woman inside the home, but she was released unharmed.

North Royalton Detective Dave Loeding says the suspect possessed evidence linking him to the deaths of the couple, Cleveland.com reported.

The news channel contacted the police department because it was unclear at the time if others might be in the house with Brinkman, and possibly in danger, D'Ambrosi said. "I can not tell you on the others because there's not a visible sign of how death occurred", said North Royalton Det.
