Despite Sideshow, Oakland remains mostly calm after Warriors win

The Cleveland Cavaliers' bid to defend their National Basketball Association championship ended in defeat Monday night, as the Golden State Warriors prevailed 129-120 to win the league championship series in five games.

James averaged 33.6 points, 12.0 rebounds and 10.0 assists while shooting 56 percent against the Warriors.

Not to mention he got a quick jab at his critics with a well-timed Nike commercial shorty after the confetti fell in Oracle Arena.

The Warriors got their revenge on the Cavaliers on Monday night, shaking off the 3-1 demons to win their second title in three years.

Cleveland star LeBron James, who won his first title in 2012 by beating Durant's Thunder in the finals, sees how the journey has made Durant into a champion over the past five years.

Cavaliers forward LeBron James had a game-high 41 points and guard Kyrie Irving hit tough shots all night, but defensive breakdowns by Cleveland led to easy baskets late in the game for the Warriors, igniting a deafening crowd.

After a night of celebrating the Golden State Warriors latest National Basketball Association title, fans snapped up victory shirts and hats Tuesday, while Oakland crews were busy hanging championship banners along the parade route.

The Warriors have not made an official announcement, but head coach Steve Kerr and several players have been openly critical of Trump and his policies.

For all that chatter about chemistry on a super-team - some called them "supervillains" - how there might not be enough shots for all the big-time scorers, the Warriors kept winning as the world watched the every move of the East Bay franchise under the microscope.

"I couldn't sleep for two days", Durant, who was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player, said during an on-court interview.

Not saying that I love LeBron because that's not true, but it makes little sense to hate him the way that some people do.

"I'm not happy he won his first. What will make us incredible for a long, long time?".

"Everybody for the last 10 years knew how good he was but until you break through and win that first championship there's still something there. He had an awesome series, just dominated", Kerr said.

"Pretty much all their big-name guys are in their 20s, and they don't show any signs of slowing down".
