Gal Gadot did reshoots for 'Wonder Woman' while 5 months pregnant

The film grossed $103.1 million in North America over its debut weekend, a figure that easily surpassed industry expectations, set a new record for a film directed by a woman and bested all previous stand-alone female superhero movies put together. Now, Gal has added another feather to her hat by revealing that she was actually five months pregnant while shooting a major portion of the film. Her willingness to be absolutely savage when it comes to gender roles and the patriarchy is a staple of her character and one that is continued in the newest film.

"Wonder Woman" was directed by Patty Jenkins and had its screenplay done by MI native Geoff Johns and Allan Heinberg.

It would only make sense that Jenkins wouldn't be onboard right away to direct the sequel since there was no way of making sure beforehand that Wonder Woman was going to do this well in the box office. After all, prior to Jenkins' hit with "Wonder Woman", she had directed just one movie: her 2003 film "Monster".

According to sources, the studio intends to begin negotiations with Jenkins shortly and the filmmaker and her reps at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Anonymous Content and Jackoway Tyerman will enjoy enormous leverage.

Despite all of that, I feared that maybe the world wasn't ready for a movie like Wonder Woman. I recommend you go and watch this nonstop slug fest in movie theaters to get the full experience. We get to see where Diana was born, where she trained, and where she became the heroine we all know and love.

I guess we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed that Patty Jenkins will somehow pull a rabbit outta her hat and find a place for our beloved Steve Trevor Wonder Woman's next chapter.

As Doctor Poison was still alive at the end of the movie, it's extremely possible that the villain will return for the next installment of Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman, and the rest of the women in the film, break those molds- they are gods, they are queens and they are warriors.
