Mario+Rabbids: Battle Kingdom landing on Switch on August 29th

Ubisoft is releasing figurines for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, but they aren't amiibo. When we first heard of a Mario and Rabbids crossover, we thought it was another freakish rumor.

Ubisoft has recently confirmed at the ongoing E3 2017 that Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is coming.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated when we know more. While at first we cringed at such a crossover, you can now color us well and truly intrigued.

The game will feature characters from both franchises in a turn-based strategy experience that's different from Mario games that we've seen in the past.

The game has been in development for three years and it's a tactical adventure for Nintendo Switch. The game will be launched on August this year.

In terms of showcasing the wide range of environments that players will explore, Assassin's Creed Origins doesn't look too bad. You'll take on a fundamentalist religious cult in fictional Hope County, Montana in a game that will surely generate zero controversy whatsoever. It also combines all that the fans love about Mario's iconic universe with the side-splitting antics of the Rabbids.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle In one of the biggest surprises of Ubisoft's conference, Shigeru Miyamoto was welcomed onto the stage to show off the insane collaboration between Mario and Rabbids. This is a new IP where you can take part in pirate style navy battles.

More footage of Far Cry 5 was shown, this time featuring new characters in Grace Armstrong, a sniper, Boomer, a loyal canine friend, and Nick Rye, a fighter pilot.
