On Tuesday, absconding Indian loan-defaulter Vijay Mallya claimed to be innocent while dismissing all allegations against him as he arrived at a London court to attend his extradition hearing.

Mallya took to Twitter to tell the media to wait for the verdict as the Government of India has filed the case in the United Kingdom court.

After coming out of the court, an embattled Mallya said: "You can keep dreaming about the billion pounds, but there's no proof". However, during the proceedings Chief Magistrate Emma Louise Arbuthnot had taken a dig at Indian authorities over the delay in submitting proof in this high profile case.

While speaking to reporters outside the Westminster Magistrates' Court in London, Mallya said, "I deny all allegations against me".

Asked if he was relieved at being told by the court not to come for the next hearing on July 5, he said: "I do not want to say anything about what happened inside the court".

The next hearing will be held on July 6 when Mallya, who was granted an extension to his bail, was told he need not attend.

Mallya was arrested by Scotland Yard in April and has been out on bail, which was further extended until December 4 - also tentatively fixed as the final date of hearing in the case.

"I have not eluded any court.I have enough evidence to prove my case", Mallya told reporters outside the court.

Vijay Mallya is the former owner of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team that plays in the India Premier League (IPL).

Mallya appeared in a London court on Tuesday over an extradition request from India, where he is wanted over fraud changes relating to the now defunct Kingfisher Airline.

Indian investigators say Mallya hasn't cooperated and has refused to give evidence there. "It's better I don't say anything", he said, adding that two people, in a drunken state, called him a "thief" outside the stadium.

After his brazen appearance at a Champions Trophy cricket match, he had on June 4 tweeted: "Wide sensational media coverage on my attendance at the India vs Pakistan match at Edgbaston".

If the District Judge rules in favour of extradition at the end of the trial, the United Kingdom home secretary must order Mallya's extradition within two months of the appropriate day.
