Trump '100 Percent' Willing To Testify Under Oath About Comey Conversations

President Trump said Friday he would be willing to testify under oath about his interactions with former FBI Director James Comey, whom he fired in May. Trump said that he "did not say that", but "there would be nothing wrong if I had".

Trump fired Comey on May 9. Trump asked, though he went on to say such a request wouldn't have been inappropriate.

Trump tweeted in May that Comey "better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press".

Trump, his arms waving, objected to Comey's testimony that the president repeatedly pressed him for his "loyalty" during a private White House dinner.

Pundits and legal experts have been divided on whether Trump's actions rose to the level of obstruction of justice, a potentially impeachable offense, while Comey said that decision was now in the hands of Mueller, who is also a former Federal Bureau of Investigation director.

"...and WOW, Comey is a leaker!"

Trump's last tweet before Friday morning came at 8:17 a.m. on Wednesday and was about his planned trip to Cincinnati to speak about his infrastructure plans.

Trump also retweeted a comment from attorney Alan Dershowitz, who had written: "We should stop talking about obstruction of justice".

Finally, we'll have analysis of the week in Washington from our political panel.

During a press conference Friday, Trump refused to make any kind of firm statement on the possibility, simply talking around the idea. Before that, he spoke at the Transportation Department about his plan for improving the country's roads and bridges.

What does Comey's testimony mean for the Russian Federation probe?

Comey's testimony underscored the discord that had soured their relationship.

-Precisely what he knew about former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn's many contacts with Kremlin officials during the course of the campaign and transition, and whether he explicitly directed or authorized any such contacts. It is unclear if Mueller launched such an investigation after Comey turned over to the special counsel personal notes describing conversations with the president since January.

Taking questions at the White House, the President of the United States said, to the world, "Should I take one of the killer networks, that treat me so badly, as fake news?"

The president insists Mr Comey lied in parts of his testimony. She called Comey an "honorable individual".

But the Chyron on Fox News said, "COMEY: PRES DID NOT ORDER ME TO LET FLYNN PROBE GO".

"I think the American public is asking for as much facts as possible", said Zeldin, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
