We run obit notifications, such as those below, for free. You may also submit an obituary for publication in our print edition. We charge 15 cents a word for this service, and you may publish a picture for an additional $3.50. (For example, if your obit was 330 words, then we would charge you $49.50 for the obit and $3.50 more if you wanted the photo.) Contact us at publisher@oakridgeobserver.com to inquire about placing an obit for your loved one. (Typically, our deadline each week is Tuesday at noon. However, please call or e-mail as we can sometimes squeeze in late arriving announcements.)

Obits are updated daily, even on weekends.
