So, I know it's absurd to make a remark about something you know almost absolutely nothing about.
And I know I really shouldn't do it, since I'm sure there's a good explanation or something. But, I'm still going to make a remark about something I know absolutely nothing about.
I saw this headline about this church going bankrupt. A church that has a crystal cathedral and defies description -- really, the pictures are stunning. (Quit being lazy and go click the link. And then click here for a quick scan of some of the pics.)
And I have to wonder. What would Jesus think of such a place? We're talking about a man who owned no property and rode a donkey when he chose to ride anything. What would he think about a church that owes nearly $45 million?
Oh, and they don't owe that for buying meals, coats, or vaccines. No, they owe it because they wanted to build this ridiculous building. And now they're going bankrupt.
Nice.
What were they thinking? Better yet. What were they reading? But, I'm sure someone will e-mail me and tell me I'm wrong. I mean, maybe they are passing meals and coats out inside or something.
